STEMI Class: $100—receive 6.5 hours CEH
Advanced Class: $50—receive 5 hours CEH
Objectives:
Introductory course:
· Correlate
the signs and symptoms of a STEMI MI and it’s ECG mimics.
· Be
able to recognize myocardial ischemia, injury and infarction consistent
with but not limited to transmural patterns.
· Identify
the clinical significance of electrocardiographic changes and apply them
to the identification and treatment of the acutely ill cardiac patient.
· Use
a paramedic checklist to aid in both gathering history and patient
treatment to expedite both emergency department and cath lab response
upon arrival at the hospital.
Advanced course:
Advanced 12 lead ECG will study further non-STEMI related MI’s, axis deviation and electrical disturbances of the cardiac patients ECG.
