Utilizing
the Department of Transportation
National Standard Curriculum for the training of
the EMT-Basic, this course gives recognition
of learned knowledge in patient
care by the nurse. The emphasis
is on transition of emergency
care by the nurse from
the
clinical environment to that found
in the pre-hospital setting. This
is an intensive one-week program that will allow the RN or
LPN to sit for the National Registry of EMT Basic Certification examination.
