The EMS Instructor course is now available in a 100% online format.
This course covers theories and principles of learning and teaching, including development of effective EMS course objectives, lectures, outlines and examinations. The course includes introduction to use of DOT curricula and materials.
The EMS Instructor Course follows the current National Guidelines for Educating EMS Instructors, resulting in entry-level EMS educator competencies. Successful course completion will satisfy current requirements for those seeking EMS Instructor certification in Nebraska. Regulatory requirements vary by state regarding instructor certification. Please check with your state agency for specific EMS Instructor certification requirements.
The EMS Instructor course is delivered 100% online and is available as either a credit or certificate class. EMS Instructor is a fall semester class beginning each year in late August and concluding in early December.

Cost of the EMS Instructor course for certificate (non-credit) students is $750. Credit students are billed at the current credit hour rate through NEST accounts. Please contact the EMS Education office for information on taking the class for credit.
